Cookie policy

Cookies

This page explains how adswifthaven.pro uses cookies and similar technologies, how you can manage preferences, and how consent choices affect site features such as map embeds.

Effective date: 11 August 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember preferences, maintain security, and—if you allow—understand how pages are used. Similar technologies include local storage entries and session identifiers.

2. How we use cookies

We group cookies into three categories:

2.1 Essential cookies

These cookies are necessary for the Site to function. They include the cookie that records your consent decision (name: sg_studio_consent) and any session identifiers required for security. Essential cookies cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. They do not track you across other websites.

2.2 Functional cookies

Functional cookies enable enhanced features. On this Site, the primary functional use is loading Google Maps embeds that show our studio location. If you reject functional cookies, maps are replaced with a placeholder and a button to load the map on demand. Google may set additional cookies when the embed loads; see Google's privacy policy for details.

2.3 Analytics cookies

If you consent to analytics cookies, we collect aggregated data about page views, referral sources, and general usage patterns. This helps us understand which content is read and whether navigation is clear. Analytics data is not used to identify you personally and is not sold to third parties.

3. Cookie banner and preferences

On your first visit, a cookie banner appears at the bottom of the screen. You may:

  • Accept all — enable essential, functional, and analytics cookies
  • Reject all — enable essential cookies only; maps and analytics remain disabled
  • Customise — choose functional and analytics categories individually, then save

Your choice is stored in a cookie and in local storage under the key cookie_consent_v1 for twelve months. After expiry, the banner reappears so you can review preferences.

4. Managing cookies in your browser

You can also control cookies through browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block third-party cookies, delete existing cookies, or receive warnings before cookies are set. Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent the consent mechanism from remembering your choice, causing the banner to reappear on each visit.

Instructions for common browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

5. Third-party cookies

When you allow functional cookies and load a Google Maps embed, Google may set cookies subject to Google's policies. We do not control third-party cookies. We selected embed mode to minimise data collection, but you should review Google's documentation if this concerns you.

6. Local storage

In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage to persist consent preferences. Local storage entries remain until cleared manually or overwritten by a new consent decision. The storage key is cookie_consent_v1; the value encodes your category choices.

7. Changes to this policy

If we add new cookie categories or change how existing ones work, we will update this page and the effective date. Material changes may require renewed consent; in that case the banner will reappear regardless of prior choices.

8. Relationship to Privacy Policy

Personal data processed through cookies is also addressed in our Privacy Policy. For data subject requests or DPO contact, see that document or write to [email protected].

9. Contact

Questions about cookies: [email protected] (subject line "Cookie enquiry").

10. Duration and expiry

Essential consent cookies expire after twelve months unless you clear them sooner. Analytics cookies, when enabled, typically expire between session end and twenty-four months depending on the analytics provider configuration. Functional map-related cookies set by Google follow Google's retention schedule once the embed loads.

11. Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals. There is no universal standard for how sites should respond. We treat Do Not Track as a preference against analytics cookies where technically feasible, but essential and functional categories still operate as described.

12. Consent withdrawal

You may withdraw cookie consent at any time by clearing site data in your browser or revisiting and changing preferences when the banner reappears. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Map embeds will revert to placeholder mode if functional consent is withdrawn.

13. Cookie inventory

Google Maps cookiesFunctionalMap tile loading and preferencesVaries (third party)

14. Updates to technology

If we adopt new tracking or storage technologies, we will update this page before deployment and adjust the cookie banner categories if needed. Material changes require renewed consent for non-essential categories.

15. Similar technologies

Session storage may hold temporary UI state during your visit. Unlike cookies, session storage clears when you close the browser tab. We do not use session storage for cross-visit tracking.

16. Contact for regulators

Regulatory enquiries from the Personal Data Protection Commission or other authorities should be directed to [email protected] with sufficient detail for us to respond within statutory timeframes.

17. Performance impact

Rejecting non-essential cookies may slightly improve page load speed because map tiles and analytics scripts are not fetched. Essential consent storage remains minimal and does not materially affect performance.
